Hi Nigel, many thanks for all the tunes. If I wanted to buy a Hurdy Gurdy, where would you recommend I look?

Try as I might I never did master the jig time (6/8) and just did it in 3/8 which I've been told is sloppy (or something)... but after playing jigs using 3/8 for decades I don't care (and I'm pushing 70 and I shout at clouds! 🤣)

This inspires me to get out of my workshop building cigar box guitars and get to playing my hg!!! 6:09 ... in the words of Matt Smith's Dr Who, "I do arpeggios now...Arpeggios are cool!"

Hello Mr. Eaton, Thank you very much for these tutorials. They make learning your beautiful but complex pieces much easier. It's a great idea. I started playing the hurdy-gurdy four years ago. I really like your repertoire and ended up trying to learn two or three pieces from your repertoire. So I started with BRETON STRIPES and HALSWAY CAROL. I'm trying to learn THE MIGHTY SPEEWAY at the moment, so your video is perfect timing. After that, I'd like to play LEFT HAND JACK and then INDOOR TREE. The biggest difficulties I'm having are with the rhythm of your fabulous and mysterious handle stroke, and of course, being French, understanding exactly what's explained in English. I apologize for my broken English, but I hardly ever use it. Thank you again for taking the time to read me, and I hope you'll publish more tutorials.
